Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Esthetician who is motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about skin health and aesthetics. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced med spa environment, enjoys building long-term client relationships, and wants to grow alongside a collaborative medical aesthetics team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laser and energy-based treatments in accordance with training and scope of practice, including:
- Laser hair removal
- Laser tattoo removal
- Sciton laser treatments, including:
- BBL (BroadBand Light)
- MicroLaserPeel
- Contour TRL
- SkinTyte
- Opus Plasma skin resurfacing
- TruSculpt iD body contouring
- Perform professional skincare treatments including HydraFacials, DiamondGlow Facials, chemical peels, Dermaplane, and other esthetic services offered at RenuYou
- Conduct thorough skin consultations with VISIA skin Analysis and create customized treatment plans
- Educate patients on skincare regimens, treatment expectations, and post-procedure care
- Recommend and sell medical-grade skincare products, SkinMedica, SkinBetter, Hydrinity, Skin Ceuticals, based on patient needs
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the EMR
- Uphold strict infection control, safety, and sanitation standards
- Assist with treatment room setup, turnover, and inventory management
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing education
- Support clinic operations, promotions, and patient experience initiatives
Qualifications
- Laser Certification or experience (required)
- Active Iowa Esthetician License (required)
- Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, conditions, and treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, polished, and patient-focused demeanor
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Sales confidence and comfort educating patients on skincare products
- Prior med spa or medical aesthetics experience preferred, but not required
